Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet (RWB) is one of the oldest ballet companies in North America, and the first in the British Commonwealth to be granted a royal charter. The RWB’s virtuosic Company dancers are well-known across Canada, throughout North America and around the globe for their technical excellence and stylistic versatility. Born out of nothing in the middle of nowhere, Royal Winnipeg Ballet set the ballet world on prairie fire. From Flin Flon to Moscow, it has wowed audiences and critics alike with its youth, vitality and innocent excitement, taking its place among the world’s best. The Royal Winnipeg Ballet has visited over 2,000 cities and traveled some two million miles. Over the years, the RWB, its dancers, and its choreographers have received many international awards and have brought honor to Winnipeg and to Canada through special distinctions in international competitions and performances from Tokyo to Varna to Paris. Continually creating new ballets, the company's repertory is eclectic and accessible, offering a balanced mix of the classics, both full-length and shorter works, masterpieces of the 20th and 21st centuries, and new work commissioned by and for the RWB.

The Queen of Hearts, The White Rabbit, and the Mad Hatter are all on hand, displaying generous doses of wit, camp and humor.
