About |
|
Founded in 2003 by Artistic Director Larry Keigwin, Keigwin+Company creates and presents Keigwin’s electrifying brand of contemporary dance. K+C reaches broad audiences and invigorates diverse communities with a refreshing vision of dance that embodies a theatrical sensibility of wit, style, and heart. Community projects seek to physically engage audiences in movement and bring new opportunities for individuals to become more invested in dance. Since K+C’s premiere performance at Joyce Soho, Keigwin has created 16 dances, including the large-scale choreographic event Bolero, tailored specifically to your community and using 50-75 local participants. Acclaimed company works include Runaway (2008) and the site-specific Sidewalk (2009). The company most recently presented the world premiere of an evening-length work, EXIT, at The Joyce Theater to sold-out audiences. Over the past 8 years, K+C has presented performances nationwide at venues including The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Summerdance Santa Barbara, New York City Center, the American Dance Festival, Bates Dance Festival, and others.
